Hiya! I'm on my first trip to Colombia, and first time ever in South America, working on another exciting book project. My first impression of Bogota was that it's huge, modern, clean and seemingly safe. There are police and soldiers on every street corner; quite a contrast to the usual doom and gloom stereotypes of Colombia (not unlike Iraq). My only complaint is my first night's hotel. It sucked. Check out the view from my hotel room window. Notice the sea of red at the bottom? That's a Nike rock concert and running event that began at 7 in the fracking morning on Sunday morning. No sleep for me!
From Germany to Germantown....the Two Crabs are heading to Maryland. Or as Brits call it, "Merry Land'! Stay tuned for updates. Cheers!
Another photo from our recent camping trip to Germany. Sorry we haven't blogged much, but Mr. Crab is in crunch time to finish writing the book before deadline! But I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Good financial news of the day: The British pound has fallen to $1.91 against the US dollar, the lowest level since November 2006. That's good news for American visitors to the UK, but bad news for those of us on British Sterling salaries with upcoming travel plans to the "Colonies!"
Question of the day: What the hell was John Edwards thinking?
