Out of the loop

Bonfire night, Nov. 5

Just a quick note to say that the Two Crabs are going to be out of the loop for a while. We are both absolutely SWAMPED with work. Mr. Crab has several major jobs lined up that will keep him busy (and out of the country) until after Christmas. And Mrs. Crab is drowning in paperwork required to complete her UK teaching qualification application. Egads!

Mr. Crab: I've just returned from a weekend in Dublin with an old Army buddy who was visiting us for the second time this year! Dublin photos TK. In the meantime, enjoy the firework photos from Guy Fawkes Night on November 5 in Victoria Park, East London.

Congratulations to Vinism and his wife on the birth of their first child!

A big "GET WELL SOON" to my sister-in-law, who will hereby be known as "Towson Tiger" for her athletic prowess. Can't wait to hit the ski slopes with you again soon!

Crab photography exhibit!

This photo by Mr. Crab has been chosen as a finalist in a London photography contest! The photo was taken on the last night before the iconic double-decker Routemaster bus was retired forever, pulling away from the main bus terminal in Angel, Islington. The theme of this year's contest was "London transportation."  The finalist photos will be on exhibit Nov. 13-17 at the N1 Centre in Angel, Islington and voted on by members of the public. The winner will receive a Canon 30D digital SLR, my dream camera and the next generation model to my own beloved Canon 20D.

Unfortunately if I win, I won't be around for the awards ceremony on 22 November. That night, I'll be on a plane bound for Baghdad...Tour of Duty VII.

The Two Crabs are proud to announce a new visiting member of the family: He-Man!    Back in 2003, He-Man was discovered by the chitlins (The Two Crabs' niece & nephew) floating in the surf of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  Since then, He-Man has dutifully returned to the beach every year and taken his place atop many a sand-castle.  Now, He-Man has flown across the pond to tackle the world and Eternia. You can follow He-Man's adventures on his very own Flickr photostream:
